"We found this place when it first opened.We were amazed that we finally had a local grinder in the area. It was so special, the coffee, the atmosphere everything was so perfect. Now the new owners are from the Greek restaurant next door and the place has changed dramatically. The coffee is not grinded anymore. It is just regular coffee that you can get at any coffee house. The pastries have changed, they were gourmet and now it seems they are just from the Greek place next door. They got rid of their ice cream base for the sweeter coffees and most of their flavors. There is no longer anything special about this place! So we went over to Coffee Grind (something we never had any interest to try). They have some good coffee's with all of the flavors and frozen coffee's with custards. This is our new place. It's a shame because 1971 was just starting to get crowded and last time we went in it was empty. so sad"
